2020 National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikoi Central Constituency, Nadine Issah Salifu has donated student matresses to victims of the floods in some parts of the Volta Region.

The politician presented the 20 mattresses in support of Angel TV/FM’s #SaveVoltaFloodVictims campaign aimed at rallying relief support for the flood victims.

The campaign was launched on the Angel Morning Show by Operations Director for Angel Broadcasting Company (ABN), on Monday, October 16, 2023.

Presenting the items to the Morning Show team, Honourable Nadine as he is known and called said he was disturbed by the news of the floods in the Volta and saw the campaign being embarked upon by Angel FM/TV as an opportunity to donate to the cause of humanity.

He expressed the hope that the donation will help partly solve the plight of the victims.

The #SaveVoltaFloodVictims campaign seeks to appeal to individuals and organisations to make cash donations to MTN mobile money account number 0557012672 (Kennedy Kwaku Enin) or send food items particularly drinking water as well as clothing, to be presented the flood victims.

Thousands of residents along the banks of the Volta River have been displaced by the floods caused by spillage of the two of the country’s hydro-electric dams at Akosombo and Kpong by the Volta River Authority (VRA).
