Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Buem constituency in the Oti Region, Daniel Ashiamah has termed the construction of the National Cathedral as nothing but a populist project.
Speaking on the Angel Morning Show on Thursday, the former Law Maker said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) saw the project as one which is bound to fail due largely to its populist nature.
He said the mode of execution further heightened the party’s belief which included their inability to appoint a project manager.
“You must adopt a project management after your feasibility studies, options of the local issues, the land and the other materials needed…the construction project is not their job,” he said.
He further called on the President to consider holding a meeting with Parliament and even the Minister of Finance on the project.
