Kwabre residents didn’t say they would vote against NPP if their roads are not fixed – NPP communicator defends

A Deputy National Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Krobea Asante has lashed out at politicians over their commentaries on the Akosombo Dam Spillage incident.

He said only unreasonable individuals would want to score political points from a situation that has left many in psychological trauma.

Mr. Asante made the assertion on the Angel Morning Show, Wednesday, October 25, 2023, whilst speaking to Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah on the development.

“What has happened to the people of Volta and some part of Eastern region, it is one thing that, excuse my language … if you are kindhearted person and have common sense, you wouldn’t like to do politics with it,” Krobea Asante fired.

According to the NPP communicator it is extremely inhumane for public officials and Ghanaians who should know better, to indulge in partisan politics than find solutions to avert future incidents.

He also emphasised that blaming the victims of the flood for ignoring the simulation exercise regarding the dam’s spillage, as in the case of Sanitation Minister Madam Freda Prempeh, should not be an ideal conversation.

George Krobea Asante on that score entreated all political communicators to desist from deepening the woes of the victims with their political commentaries.
