The campaign team of Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong has projected that the MP who is a lead contender in the NPP presidential primaries will win 50% of valid votes cast at the polls.

Spokesperson for the campaign team, Lawyer Amoh Dartey said the Assin Central MP will shock the other contenders as he will be declared winner of the November 4, 2023 polls.

“The constitution of the party says at least when one gets 50% or more of the total valid vote cast, then the person qualifies to become the presidential candidate. So our focus is to achieve the requirements on the D day.

“That is why we at the camp of Kennedy Agyapong are not in a hurry to predict any huge margin of the votes in percentage wise like 70% and over,” Lawyer Dartey said.

He further added that the Ken Agyapong will ease past the other three contenders because his message has been well received by delegates.

“The love shown to Mr. Agyapong so far by delegates and the youth particularly in the lead up to the election following our campaign trips gives us hope,” the legal practitioner added.

He furthered and described the NPP presidential candidate as a “man of truth” and added he is the “sure bet” to unite the party front in a quest to lead them to break the eight-year jinx.
