Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire, says the apology from the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central has been accepted wholeheartedly.
The forgiveness of the MP on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress comes after he rendered an unqualified apology to the English International.
Mr. Adongo, in 2022, debating Ghana’s budget compared Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia’s economic management to Maguire’s performances on the pitch.
While making mockery of Dr. Bawumia, the Lawmaker ridiculed the Manchester United centre-back and insinuated that both are bad performers.
On Tuesday, November 21, 2023, Mr Adongo on the floor of Parliament fast-forward said he wanted to correct the record and hailed Maguire for becoming a “transformational footballer.”
Harry Maguire reacting to the apology said, the Ghanaian Lawmaker has been forgiven in good faith.
“MP Issac Adongo apology accepted. See you at Old Trafford soon,” the former Leciester City captain stated X formerly Twitter.
