The incumbent Assemblyman for Teberebie Electoral Area in Tarkwa Nsuaem in the Western Region met his untimely death while on his way to campaign.

Manasseh Addison Sackey, popularly known as ‘Teacher Obour’ died on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Angelonline.com.gh gathered that the deceased was among five persons who were on board a boat which links Bonsa river to Bonsa Agya and surrounding communities in his electoral area.

The canoe capsized along the journey leaving Mr. Addison Sackey and the canoe rider drowned in the river. However, the three others survived the accident.

Without hesitation, a team quickly mounted a search only for them to find the lifeless body of Manasseh Addison Sackey four hours after the incident.

Meanwhile, search continues today for the body of the canoe rider.

His body has since been at the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
