Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has announced the decision to settle the arrears of persons who completed the mandatory one-year service in 2023.
According to the NSS, the payment which covers arrears from January 2023 to May 2023, would be released Friday, December 8, 2023.
It however noted in a press statement issued on Thursday, December 7, that the arrears for June and October would be paid subsequently by the government.
“Management wishes to commend service personnel for their patience regarding the delayed payment of these allowances and wishes to assure them that everything possible is being done to have the rest of their allowances duly paid to them,” the statement added.
