Commissioner of Police, George Alex Mensah (RTD) has described as ‘fake’ the purported report emanating from the committee investigating the suspected plot to remove the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

Speaking on Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Thursday, January 11, 2024, the ex-Police Officer said the contents of the report can never be a true representation of what transpired at the Parliamentary Committee which was headed by Abuakwa South Member of Parliament (MP), Samuel Atta Akyea.

“I laughed out loud after reading the purported Atta Akyea committee report, it’s full of lies, the entire report is full of lies, it’s fake and I repeat, it is fake…,” he told host Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.

A shocked COP Alex Mensah, who is contesting to be the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bekwai Constituency said he was forced to contact the head of the committee, Atta Akyea after reading through the report online.

“Atta Akyea told me that the committee has not come out with any report, so this can never be the report… ..I know the committee members and they will never write such a report,” he revealed.

The retired serviceman muted that he would “instruct his Lawyers to challenge the report if this report turns out to be authentic.”

NPP Satanist

The retired Commissioner of Police who is a front runner in the race for the Bekwai seat further told Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah that he suspects his opponents are behind the fake report.

“I know evil men, I mean Satanists in NPP are behind this report…but I leave them to God…they are still harbouring that evil mind of destroying a noble man like me but I know they won’t succeed. They hoped I would have been disqualified at the vetting but that did not work…,” he said.

COP Alex Mensah was also optimistic that the ‘true’ report from the committee will exonerate him as he “doesn’t know any grounds for which the committee would want me prosecuted.”

“The contest for the Bekwai seat is going very well…the delegates wants to vote for me massively and this is what makes my opponent uncomfortable and hence pushing this fake report agenda…,” he said.
