‘Akufo-Addo’s ministerial reshuffle super meaningless’ – NDC’s Twum Barima
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A member of the Communications Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Twum Barima, the last gasp changes in the Executive by President Nana Akufo-Addo will not alleviate the suffering and hardships imposed on the people.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show on Angel 102.9 FM broadcast live on Angel TV the legal practitioner described the President’s gesture as “super meaningless.”

The NDC Communicators’ comment references the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s assertion while the NPP was in opposition that doing a reshuffle in an election year was meaningless.

“So, using Dr. Bawumia’s own words, I will say that this reshuffle is meaningless – There is nothing relevant about it,” he told Okatakyei Afrifa-Mensah, on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

He also expressed skepticism about the capabilities of the newly-appointed officials and what they will bring to the table within the shortest period, citing the vetting procedures they will face before being approved.

“By the time their [new appointees] background checks are completed then we will be in the middle of March and before November, every minister will be preparing their handing over notes.

So basically, they are only going to spend some eight months in office… so what are they coming to do” he quizzed.
