The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team Member, Twum Barima, says security will improve tremendously under the ’24-hour-economy’ if John Mahama is voted into power in December this year.

Speaking on the morning show on Angel 102.9FM and Angel TV on Thursday, February 22, 2024, the private legal practitioner said security will be key when it comes to ensuring that the ’24-hour-economy’ policy works smoothly.

“As part of our policy, when you read into details, we will ensure that our security will be 24/7,” he stated in response to a question from the host of the show, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah on what the plan is for security when the policy comes into force should the NDC win the polls.

According to him, while people are going about their various activities around the clock, a tough security will be put in place to ensure everyone is safe.

“You cannot do this without having another efficient solid 24-hour-security for the economy,” he stated.

Comparing the ratio of security personnel both morning and day, Twum Barima promised Ghanaians, NDC will make sure the numbers of security personnel seen in the morning or day, will not be reduced in the evening.

“We will ensure that the night security will be the same like the day security,” he stated.
