A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, Nana Twum Barima has questioned the President’s attitude towards assenting to the Anti-Gay bill that been passed, seeking to find his stance on the issue.

“Do you believe the President has made up his mind not to fight against this thing [LGBT]?. Where you decide to create reasons for your actions . You push me to believe that you have not made up your mind to assist us in fighting against it,” he asserted while contributing to discussions on the issue on the Angel Morning Show, Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The lawyer explained that President has been given a lot of chances to express his stance on the issue but always show a lukewarm attitude towards it, but now is a great time to tell Ghanaians where he stands, since the Anti-Gay bill has been passed.

The lawyer indicated that Ghanaians have spoken through Parliament that they do not subscribe to LGBTQ+ through the passage of the Anti-Gay bill, however he finds it baffling why the President is trying to play blame games and being reluctant in signing the bill.

“ It is not the correct path. Ghanaians have spoken through Parliament to make a law to prevent LGBTQ+ from being infused in to all aspects of their lives,” he added.
