Ghana and Malawi sign visa waiver agreement

Ghana has signed an agreement on a visa waiver regime with Malawi for holders of ordinary, diplomatic, and service passports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration announced.

The agreement expected to enhance bilateral ties and ongoing collaboration between the two African countries takes effect from February 7, 2024.

“The Ministry of Affairs and Regional Integration wishes to inform the public that the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of Malawi desirous of strengthening bilateral relations and existing cooperation have entered into an agreement on visa waiver regime for holders of ordinary, diplomatic, and service passports which took effect from 7 February, 2024.

“The travelling public is hereby advised to take note of this new visa waiver agreement,” A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration on Thursday, March 21, said.
