At least three officers of the Ghana Police Service died instantly in a crash Wednesday afternoon, March 27, 2024.
The accident is said to have happened at Kyekyewere on the Accra-Kumasi highway in the Eastern Region.

The officers who were in the Formed Police Unit (FPU) branded armoured vehicle, were said to be on their to Kwahu as part of security deployment ahead of the Easter festivities in the area.
It is not known yet what might have caused the crash but videos shared on social media platforms contained gory images of some of the officers lying supine and helpless.
