Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has expressed readiness to stage a protest against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration over the erratic power supply commonly known as “dumsor.”

Ms Nelson called on the policy think tank IMANI Ghana for a collaboration to stage a vigil to exercise their displeasure over the development which has become the talk of town.

Imani Ghana, can we organize another vigil? I’ve been waiting for you to reach out like you did years back. (your team made our demo a success) I’m reaching out myself. The NPP and its leadership @NAkufoAddo have taken Ghanaians for granted DUMSORMUSTSTOP,” she posted in a post on X on Monday, April 22, 2024.

It could be recalled that in 2015, Yvonne Nelson with support from IMANI Ghana, held a similar exercise when the actress led a massive demonstration over dumsor under the then President John Dramani Mahama administration.

The actress has over the years become a critique of successive governments over issues of national interest.
