The Founder and Leader of the United Front Party (UFP), Akwasi Addae, popularly known as Odike has described the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a party which consists of persons with same interests.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS), Odike asserted that both parties have similar modus operandi, particularly in their governance approach which is mostly characterized by the alleged sale of government assets.

“Whether it’s the NDC or the NPP in power, the trend remains consistent – the sale of state-owned properties,” he said while highlighting instances where the parties sold several state properties in places like Cantonment and Kumasi.

He further alluded to the galamsey menace which he said can be traced to the NDC era and continued during the tenure of the NPP.

“In the mindset of the NDC, there seems to be a tacit understanding that whatever the NPP does while in power, once they assume office, similar actions are permissible without scrutiny,” he said.

Odike further questioned the delay in implementing promises made by Vice President Bawumia, urging action rather than rhetoric.

“If there are pledges to fulfill,” he argued, “why wait until assuming power? Start now and demonstrate commitment.”
