Top striker of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Stephen Mukwala, has assured fans of the club that they will beat arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in Sunday’s super clash.

He stated that the Reds will give their best to ensure the woes of their bitter rivals continue at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors host the Rainbow Club in Kumasi in week 31 of the Ghana Premier League fixtures on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

Speaking ahead of the game, Mukwala said they would use Hearts of Oak to bounce back from their defeat to Berekum Chelsea.

“We are much more determined as a team even individuals we are also determined. We are ready to give our all. We know we are not in a good position, but we shall fight hard to make sure that at least on Sunday we can pick the maximum points,” the Uganda International said ahead of the game.

Mukwala who has 12 goals to his name in the ongoing 2023/24 season last scored in his side’s 2-1 loss to Berekum Chelsea in the lead-up to the Hearts game.

Ahead of the all-important clash, two points separates the sides with 40 and 38 points respectively with Kotoko in 10th position and Hearts’ 12th position.
