I’m not controversial, my topics are uncomfortable– Barima Sidney

Hiplife Musician, Sidney Kofi Ofori, known in music circles as Barima Sidney has disagreed with claims by some Ghanaians that the Akufo-Addo led administration is the worse government ever in Ghana.

Ghanaian voters, mostly members and sympathisers of opposition parties have labelled the current administration headed by Nana Akufo-Addo as the government Ghana has ever had.

Sky-rocketing inflation and the massive depreciation of the cedi against major trading currencies particularly the dollar and pound sterling have been part of the main reasons for describing the Akufo-Addo administration as such.

Some have even questioned why a government which has failed to fulfill most of its promises to the Ghanaian would have the courage to nominate the current Vice President and head of the economic management team, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as its flagbearer for the 2024 elections.

Appearing on the Friday edition of the Angel Morning Show, the musician who is noted for composing several songs for the NPP and its flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo said he does not subscribe to this opinions.

“This government (Akufo-Addo’s) is not perfect but it is certainly not the worse…,” he told host Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.

Barima Sidney encouraged Ghanaians particularly the youth who claim they are not interested in politics to start showing interests in it.
