A Member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Team, Ellen Ama Daaku, has stated that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has little understanding of the term ‘review’ and are only specialists when it comes to ‘cancellation’.
Speaking on Angel Morning Show, Monday, July 01, 2024, she pointed out that the NDC’s proposal to review the Free SHs policy is not founded and will cancel the programme when voted into power.
She made this point by linking the NDC’s track record of cancelling government’s programmes such as the teacher trainee and nurses trainee allowances when they were in power.
“If not for wickedness, you won’t tell us you started free SHS when initially you fought against it.
“And now you are telling us that when you come to power you are going to review the policy whereas your track record in reviewing policies ends up in cancellation like the way you cancelled teacher trainee allowance and nurses trainee allowance,” she stated.
