The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will officially present its running mate to the overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom in a grand style.
Sammi Awuku, a key advisor to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team told Citi FM that Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh will meet King Otumfuo Osei Tutu and the Asanteman Council on Tuesday, July 8, 2024.
“Next week, Tuesday, July 8, 2024, the NPP will perform two duties. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is a native of the Ashanti Region, so we will present him to the Asanteman Council and Otumfuo Osei Tutu in Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon next week. Then, we will proceed to outdoor him at Jubilee Park in Kumasi.” He outlined events to introduce NAPO to the Ashanti region.
He added: “Then afterwards, Dr Bawumia will hit the trail up north to begin the constituency-by-constituency campaign while his running mate also begins his tour around the country. So, these are busy days ahead for the NPP, and the NPP is determined to win this December election.”
Sammy Awuku also believes the NPP is focused on winning the December 7 presidential election and will do so strategically.
“We will beat the NDC by strategy, and they won’t understand,” he stated.
