Ghanaians have accepted the apology from the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 presidential running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, over his comment deemed derogatory against the country’s founding president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

This is according to Fiifi Boafo, who is the Spokesperson for Dr. Opoku Prempeh believes the general public have forgiven his boss wholeheartedly.

Speaking to Okatakyei Afrifa-Mensah, host of the Angel Morning Show on Wednesday, July 17, Fiifi stated that his observations follow the courtesy call on some traditional authorities across the country after NAPO’s outdooring.

Fiifi Boafo says his observations follow the courtesy call on some traditional authorities across the country after NAPO’s outdooring.

“Largely, every Ghanaian citizen has accepted the apology in good faith indicating that NAPO is a respectable and submissive person.

“It is the same Ghanaian people whom he (NAPO) would be serving who expressed their displeasure about his previous comments, so after the apology asking for forgiveness on what happened, I think generally everyone has accepted it,” Fiifi said.

According to him, the apology gesture is a true reflection that the former Energy and Education Minister is ready to become a servant and noted that with the positive feedback derived from their tour, Ghanaians have decided to let the sleeping dogs lie.

Fiifi Boafo furthered that the endorsement of NAPO by the President of the Eastern Regional House of Chief who doubles as the Overlord of the Manya Krobo Traditional Council, is an attestation of his leadership qualities which speak well of his personality.
