Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says the creation of the Savannah Region by the Akufo-Addo government has accelerated infrastructure and other forms of development in the area.

The Savannah Region was one of five newly-created Regions by the current government and was carved out of the erstwhile Northern Region.

Addressing the Paramount Chief of Bole and his elders during his campaign visit to Bole on Sunday, Dr. Bawumia said the NPP has demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusive development.

“We are in politics to help develop our communities and the country. It is significant to note that many of the developments you see in Bole and in the Savannah Region took place under the NPP and given the chance, we will be able to do even more.”

“We have created the Savannah Region and the Savannah Region is seeing a lot of benefits. We are seeing a lot of projects, a lot of roads, a lot of hospitals – the agenda 111 hospitals in various areas. We are doing a lot in Savannah and we want to continue to do more.”

“…in Bole constituency, we have done a number of school blocks, market centers, chips compounds…We are doing a lot but we have not yet finished. That is why we are requesting for your support so that we can continue and do more”, Dr. Bawumia said.

The Bolewura, welcoming Dr. Bawumia, appealed to him to address other concerns of the Bole community.
