Host of the morning show on Angel TV and Angel 102.9FM, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, says he has in his possession list of individuals who are engaged in illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey, across various regions of the country.

The journalist disclosed in a recent broadcast that the list, which has been compiled by National Security, contains nearly 3,000 names, including prominent figures such as chiefs, leaders of religious groups, politicians, soldiers and other influential individuals.

Afrifa-Mensah vowed to name those responsible for galamsey activities during each of his broadcasts, focusing on different regions. In addition to revealing names, he pledged to release the phone numbers of these individuals, urging citizens to hold them accountable.

Afrifa-Mensah also expressed his intention to investigate the churches attended by those involved, encouraging fellow congregants to confront them about their destructive actions.

Furthermore, he plans to involve the families of those responsible, particularly their children, in questioning their relatives about their harmful roles in the devastation of the country’s water bodies and forests.

Afrifa-Mensah’s bold stance is intended to mobilize the public in the fight against galamsey and draw attention to the powerful figures contributing to environmental destruction.
