Renowned Ghanaian musician, Natty Borax, has released a new campaign song titled “Mahama Driver Papa” for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2024 elections.

In an interview on the Angel Morning Show (AMS), Natty Borax shared that his decision to create the song was inspired by a dream his wife had.

According to him, his wife dreamt twice that he was making a political song for two different parties, and in the dream, he was rewarded generously for the song. Initially, he did not take the dream seriously, but after his wife had the same dream again two weeks later, he began to consider it more seriously.

“When my wife told me about the dream the first time, I didn’t pay much attention. But after she dreamt it again, I asked her which political party she saw in the dream. She said she didn’t see a specific party but saw me singing for one of them,” he explained.

Natty Borax admitted that he was initially hesitant to create the song, but his wife kept encouraging him to give it a try. He noted that he has been a supporter of the NDC since the days of the late President John Atta Mills but voted for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2016 due to the promises made during their campaign.

However, he was disappointed when those promises were not fulfilled, prompting him to create this song in support of the NDC for the upcoming elections.

“I didn’t want to do the song initially, but my wife kept urging me. I’ve been an NDC supporter since the time of the Railways, but I voted for the NPP in 2016 because of their campaign promises. Unfortunately, they didn’t deliver on those promises, and that’s why I decided to make this song for the NDC,” he added.
