Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, expressed his satisfaction and relief with the progress of his campaign as he addressed supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency on Friday, September 20, 2024.
As part of his ongoing campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia presented his “Bold Solutions” policies to the enthusiastic constituents, who turned out in large numbers to hear him speak.
Dr. Bawumia first paid a visit to the palace of Otumfour Amoah Sasraku II, the Paramount Chief of the Twifo Hemang Traditional Council.
In his message to the chief and his elders, Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed his commitment to the “Better Ghana Agenda” and expressed solidarity with the traditional leaders.
Otumfour Amoah Sasraku II, visibly pleased by the visit, pledged his people’s support for Dr. Bawumia’s presidential aspirations, acknowledging the positive contributions of the NPP government to the region.
During the visit, Dr. Bawumia also engaged various stakeholders, including religious leaders, assembly members, educators, farmers, and artisans.
He took time to explain his policies in detail and how they aim to uplift the living standards of Ghanaians. His engagement with these key groups showcased his commitment to understanding the concerns of all citizens.
The tour continued in Jukwa, the capital of Denkyira, where a large crowd of NPP supporters and traditional leaders, including Nana Ama Saara Ayensua III, the Queen Mother of the Denkyira Traditional Council, warmly welcomed him. Nana Ama Saara Ayensua III praised Dr. Bawumia for his humility and dedication throughout his campaign and promised him the prayers and support of her people.
Addressing the massive gathering at Jukwa, Dr. Bawumia shared his vision for a better Ghana, urging the people to support him and the NPP to achieve victory in the upcoming elections. ‘
He emphasized the need for hard work and unity as the party looks ahead to the election.
He also praised the parliamentary candidate, Mr. Lawrence Agyinsam, for his competence and urged the constituents to rally behind him.
The event was marked by a sense of optimism and excitement, with Dr. Bawumia encouraging his supporters to remain steadfast in their pursuit of success for both the party and the country.
He was accompanied by notable dignitaries, including the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Marigold Assan, the parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Mr. Lawrence Agyinsam, incumbent Member of Parliament Hon. Lawyer Bright Wireko Brobby, District Chief Executive Hon. Nana Kwaku Abban, and other regional and constituency executives.
