A communication team member of the Movement for Change communication team, Solomon Owusu has asserted that commercial sex workers in Ghana are no longer enjoying the business.

According to him, the bad economy under the ruling new Patriotic Party (NPP) is nothing to write home about, leaving businesses to suffer the consequences.

Mr. Owusu expressed the view that every single business in the country has been hard hit by the economic mismanagement of the Akufo-Addo administration; he added commercial sex workers popularly known as prostitutes cannot be left out.

Speaking on Tuesday’s edition of the Angel Morning Show hosted by Ama Brako Ampofo, Mr. Owusu said the dwindling economy has affected the high patronage of the sex workers’ business in the country.

“When coming to the studios this morning, the commercial sex workers close to your workplace approached me and complained to me bitterly that their business is not being patronized these days unlike some time ago due to the poor economy,” he said.

According to them, they could spend a whole night on their feet at their various spots but not a single person could attend to them.

Solomon Owusu indicated that the commercial sex workers expressed that some years ago when the economy was in a stable state, they could whistle to the ears of men in the quest of seducing them.

However, he said, these frustrated sex workers confessed to him that their whistling does no longer synchronize into the ears of men to patronize their practice because of the lack of money.

The Movement for Change member said further that the development should be a wakeup call to Ghanaian on how bad the country has sunk in terms of governance and urged the people to show the NPP the exit in the forthcoming December 7, general elections

According to him, Alan Kyeremanten is the right man to salvage the problems created by the NPP government under the able leadership of President Akufo-Addo and his Vice Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
