The Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development has announced the resignation of two District Chief Executives (DCEs) in accordance with Section 20(3)(c) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).

The DCEs who have resigned are Edward Owusu, Municipal Chief Executive for Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Assembly, Bono East Region and Millicent Kabuki Carboo, District Chief Executive for Biakoye District Assembly, Oti Region.

In the interim, the respective Regional Ministers will assume the roles of District Chief Executives for the two assemblies until the President appoints substantive replacements.

The Ministry in a statement on Thursday expressed its gratitude to Owusu and Carboo for their dedicated service and contributions to the development of their respective assemblies.
