An Accra Circuit Court has granted the founder and leader of the Alive Chapel International, Bishop Salifu Amoako and his wife, Mouha Amoako GHC 50,000 bail each.
One other person, Linda Bonsu who is believed to be a sales representative who was also arrested by the Ghana Police Service was also granted bail of the same sum.
Bishop Salifu Amoako and his wife are parents of the suspect driver involved in the fatal accident that claimed two lives at East Legon on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
The parents of the 16-year-old suspect driver Elrad Salifu Amoako were arrested to assist with investigations into the tragic accident.
They were charged with permitting unlincensed person to drive. They pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The trial judge, Justice Samuel Bright Acquah after hearing their pleas granted them them bail of GHC 50,000 each with two sureties.
The bail conditions include notifying the police anytime they want to travel outside.
