The Minister of Information, Fatimatu Abubakar has expressed strong confidence in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) success in the upcoming 2024 elections.

The Minister during an appearance on Angel TV’s morning show, hosted by Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah on November 5, 2024 said she is confident the ruling party is winning ‘bigly’ in the crucial elections.

“We are winning the 2024 election ‘bigly’,…we have tested the waters; we have carried both water and wine and are very confident that the NPP government will win this year’s elections” she said.

The Information Minister highlighted NPP’s confidence in their presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to carry forward the party’s vision and secure the nation’s trust.

“Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated exceptional leadership, especially in steering economic policies and driving digitalization initiatives that are shaping a modern Ghana. He has a proven track record that Ghanaians can trust,” she noted.

Fatimatu further stated that NPP is very much convinced that Bawumia’s administration would create more job opportunities for the youth, contrasting this with former President John Mahama’s record.

She argued that Mahama’s presidency did not create more jobs unlike the NPP especially for the youth and criticized the NDC’s handling of sectors such as education and healthcare, claiming that mismanagement left nurses and teachers without deployment, delayed and unpaid allowances.
