Agona West Member of Parliament(MP) Cynthia Morrison has categorically stated she is still with the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
Despite contesting as an independent candidate in the December 7 election, Madam Morrison has stated that she is still an MP on the NPP’s ticket.
She made this statement at a press briefing on Thursday amidst the controversy over the declaration of four seats, including hers, as vacant.
“I am still an MP on the ticket of the NPP, thank you,” she told journalists.
The other affected MPs are Kwadwo Asante (Suhum), Andrew Asiamah (Fomena), and Peter Kwakye Ackah (Amenfi Central).
They face potential removal, although a Supreme Court intervention has paused any immediate action.
