Tema West Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwasi Poku, has expressed confidence in the candidature of the Vice Presidential Candidate of the party for the 2024 elections, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, known as NAPO.
Speaking on Angel Morning Show (AMS), Kwasi Poku said Dr Bawumia campaign will significantly boost the NPP’s votes in the Ashanti Region, delivering over 70% support for the party.
Kwasi Poku highlighted NAPO’s strategic approach, emphasizing that his campaign efforts have been instrumental in maintaining a steady focus for the presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“NAPO’s involvement has drawn Mahama’s attention, allowing Bawumia to campaign without distraction. This strategy has been key, as NAPO’s influence, even without his image on the ballot, has compelled Mahama to pay more attention to him,” Poku explained.
He added that NAPO’s hard work and well-organized campaign in the Ashanti Region are driving strong support for the NPP, positioning the party to capture a commanding 70% of the vote in the Region.
