The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken its campaign strategies to a new level by including the swearing of allegiance to retain power.

To ensure the realization of their “Breaking the Eight” agenda and win more seats in the next parliament, party supporters were made to swear an oath to vote for the NPP and defend their rights in the forthcoming elections.

This development took place over the weekend at Akim Old Tafo in the Abuakwa North Constituency of the Eastern Region during a victory walk on Sunday, November 17, 2024.

The General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Frimpong Kodua, led the oath-swearing when he mounted the podium to address party executives and supporters who participated in the “Victory Walk” exercise.

His pronouncement was willingly embraced by the party’s leadership, executives, and supporters in the constituency where they pledged to commit themselves and work hard through campaign efforts to canvass votes for the party.

As part of the allegiance, they also vowed to safeguard the ballot boxes on the election day until the Electoral Commission (EC) declares the results, aiming to prevent any alleged plans by the NDC to snatch ballots in the constituency.

The Parliamentary Candidate for Abuakwa North, Nana Ampaw Addo Kwame Frempong, popularly known as “Chief Buffalo,” was excited over the turnout of the exercise and expressed his optimism that it would reflects in the voting process come the December 7 elections to retain the seat with a significant victory margin for the NPP in the area.

He added that their pending victory would not be possible without hard work and urged party supporters to embark on a vigorous household-to-household campaign to ensure that the NPP continues to remain supreme in Abuakwa North.

“As you have shown the people that the NPP remains relevant in Abuakwa North, I urge you to strengthen your efforts in campaigning as you return to your various homes so that we can overshadow the NDC.

Let us have faith in the NPP and our flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and vote for him. When he becomes president, with Chief Buffalo as MP, Abuakwa North will receive its fair share of the national cake,” he stated.
