Tourism, Arts & Culture Minister, Mark Okraku Mantey, says technology is the only distinguishing factor between present day Disc Jockeying (DJ) and their time.
According to him, though technology has impacted positively, making things faster and easier, it has affected the artistic value, nature of DJ as well as the DJing.
The former Disck Jockey cited that during their era, DJing was not just about playing music, also it was automatically accompanied with some art, skill and gesture displayed by the DJ which were appealing and exciting to the audience.
He attributed it to how the equipments were arranged and operated.
Mr. Okraku Mantey claimed, the new school DJs now forcibly put up an act due to the introduction of sophisticated equipment.
