In what promises to be an unforgettable and exciting evening, Ghanaian Highlife sensation Peter Fameye Gozah, also known as Fameye, will headline the 49th SWAG Awards with a spectacular performance.
Fameye, known for his stage name, will entertain patrons at the event, which is scheduled for Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Center.
“Highlife sensation, Peter Fameye Gozah, aka Fameye, will entertain patrons at the event,” SWAG announced in a statement.
The statement further elaborated that the 49th SWAG Awards ceremony, which promises to be unforgettable and exciting, will “attract a large audience of sports enthusiasts, stakeholders, and media personnel.”
In anticipation of the upcoming event, SWAG indicated that the ceremony will be broadcast live on television and streamed online, allowing millions of Ghanaians to join in the celebration.
Also, former President John Dramani Mahama will grace the occasion as the special guest of honor, where he will deliver a keynote address on the theme of this year’s award: “Gold and Glory – A Call for Change in National Orientation and Investment in Sports.”
“H.E. President John Mahama has confirmed his attendance as the special guest of honor at the prestigious SWAG Awards, endorsing his interest, focus, and willingness to support sports development and promotion in Ghana,” SWAG confirmed in a statement published on its website.
SWAG explained that President Mahama’s presence will add to the event’s glamour and appeal, as he has demonstrated his commitment to promoting sports in Ghana.
His attendance, SWAG stated that it will be a fitting tribute to his dedication to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of Ghana’s sports heroes.
