The MP elect for Akyem Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has led party faithful and executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the area, to give thanks to God for a successful and peaceful elections in the constituency.

He told the congregation at the Christ Apostolic Church at Akyem Oda Old town, that even though their general expectations didn’t materialize, with election results, God deserves his thanks for the performance of the party in the constituency.

Mr Acquah said, he took inspiration from his leader’s firm convictions in God.

He said Dr. Bawumia’s early conception coupled with his hearty and cheerful look after the elections gave him a lot of hope for the future.

The entourage also visited other churches like KMC and International Glory Chapel.

Earlier yesterday, Saturday in the evening, a special anointing service was held for Mr Alexander Akwasi Acquah who is making a return to parliament for his second term.

Almost all the leading Pastors and Heads of various denominations in the constituency gathered to install him for his second term, a spiritual exercise which according to the MP elect, enabled him to perform creditably well during his first term.
