The flagbearer for the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen, on Monday, January 5, 2025, paid a visit to the Kantamanto traders who suffered losses due to the recent fire outbreak disaster.

During his address, he expressed his condolences to the traders and acknowledged the inadequate measures in place at the market, which exacerbated the damage caused by the fire.

He reiterated his commitment to establishing ultra-modern markets, as outlined in his policy. He emphasized the need for better infrastructure to support traders, particularly women, in times of crisis.

The flagbearer also urged the upcoming president to take swift action in response to the disaster. In a gesture of goodwill, Kyeremanten presented a sum amount of 1000 Ghana Cedis to the traders.

Mr. Kyeremanten’s visit and proposals resonate with his previous statements on revolutionizing retail market infrastructures across the country.

He has consistently emphasized the importance of prioritizing traders’ welfare and providing them with access to affordable financing and modern facilities.
