A former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Identification Authority (NIA), Osei Kwame Griffiths, has advised the newly sworn-in administration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He urged the NDC administration, led by President John Dramani Mahama, to avoid the mistakes that plagued the immediate past New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

According to Mr. Osei, these mistakes include corruption, mismanagement, and a high level of arrogance.

“From the 2024 elections, there are three key catalysts that propagated to the NPP’s poor performance: One is corruption, two is mismanagement, and, worst of all, arrogance,” he said during a panel discussion hosted on the Angel Morning Show.

The NDC member highlighted a controversy involving former President Akufo-Addo and some chiefs, where the president accused these traditional authorities of disrespecting him at events, as an example of arrogance.

“For a president to question traditional authorities for refusing to stand and greet him shows a trait of arrogance,” he remarked.

Mr. Osei emphasized the importance of the NDC learning from these issues to avoid repeating such mistakes in its administration.
