‘I blame NPP for the chaos in Ghana’ – Anita Desoso

Must Read

A former First National Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita Desoso, has laid blame for the current chaos in Ghana at the doorstep of the main opposition political party, New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on January 22, 2025, hosted by Saddick Adams, Anita Desoso stated that the NPP is behind the rampant violence in Ghana following the 2024 general elections as according to her the NPP initiated the such behaviours.
“It is difficult to speak the truth. The attitude and behaviour of the NPP have brought this chaos to the country. Since the times of Rawlings, Kufuor, and John Mahama, this has never happened before. I don’t support what the youth are doing, but when things get out of hand, you have to show that you are also strong, and I blame the NPP for what is happening,” Anita stated.
She said she becomes alarmed when a party like the NPP which had previously engaged in similar acts seek to blame the members of the NDC for the post-election vandalism.
Desoso pointed out that the attitude and behaviour of the NPP have compelled members of the NDC to take certain retaliatory actions, and she believes her party members should be resolute and vigilant this time.
Anita Desoso further explained that the members of the NDC have never exhibited this kind of behaviour since the time of the late Jerry John Rawlings.
