The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano South, Charles Asiedu has stated that President John Mahama’s ministerial appointees are capable of delivering mandates.
During a panel discussion on the Angel Morning Show on Thursday February 6, 2025, Mr. Asiedu mentioned that, the law demands that he appoints certain percentage of MP’s in parliament.
He highlighted that, the 183 National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP’s in parliament posses the ability to function effectively in any ministry that which they are assigned.
The MP for Tano South expressed that, “ people were saying the deputy finance minister does not have that background, and it means people were not even aware that he has a finance and economics background.”
He further pointed out that, the 183 members are capable of fully functioning in any ministry to which they are assigned to, he said.
In the course of the discussion he noted that, “ even those who are experiencing it for the first time, look at the professionals and experienced politicians among them, they can work with any ministry irrespective of where they are placed.”
He articulated that, “ l have complete faith in President Mahama, and Ghanaians are happy with the number of people he wants to govern the country with.”
