Creating an empowered and self-sufficient nation requires action and the inclusiveness of Ghanaian youth, President John Dramani Mahama has said.
He said that building the Ghana we want cannot be achieved on policy solely but the youth, by stepping up their roles and responsibilities.
President Mahama made this statement on Thursday, March 6, 2025, urging the youth to leverage his policies for a self-sufficient government.
“My brothers and sisters, this is a defining moment. But policy alone, no matter how couch, and no matter how well-intentioned and actions will not change that reality.
As president, I’m taking the necessary actions to create growth opportunities and enhance our economic independence.”
He said, “Young Ghanaians must step up to the plate, seize the opportunities, and contribute to building a self-sufficient nation. Ghana’s economic future is in your hands.”
He called on the public to collaborate in supporting his bold leadership while safeguarding the future of the country’s to ensure the economy does not go to sleep.
