Government, through the Finance Ministry, has made funds allocation to both teacher and nursing trainee allowances in the country.
Dr. Casiel Ato Forson, the sector minister announced on the floor of Parliament that a total amount of GH¢683 million has been made available for the payment.
Addressing Parliament during the presentation of the 2025 Budget on March 11, he stated that the government decision is to complement its dedications and commitment to improving the education and healthcare sectors through investment.
“We have allocated GH¢203 million for the payment of teacher trainee allowances and another GH¢480 million for nursing trainee allowances,” the minister highlighted.
Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson stressed that the allowances will continue under the 2025 fiscal year, with a budgetary allocation to ensure timely payments.
“The government remains committed to sustaining the teacher and nursing trainee allowances to support students in their professional training.”
