General Manager of Dormaa-based Ghana Premier League side, Aduana Stars, Takyi Arhin, has launched a scathing attack on Prophet Kofi Oduro – Founder and Leader of the Alabaster International Ministries.
Mr. Arhin, in his attack, warned the controversial man of God to focus on his ministerial work rather than meddling in the affairs of football in the country.
His warning to Prophet Kofi Oduro is related to his claim that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is a corrupt institution.
Prophet Kofi Oduro’s backlash of the GFA comes after President John Mahama, in his State of the Nation Address (SONA), announced that subsequent budgets for official Black Stars matches would be made public.
However, Mr. Arhin admonished Prophet Kofi Oduro to mind his business since his pronouncement amounts to “ignorance.”
“The claim that GFA is the most corrupt institution in Ghana is ridiculous and born out of ignorance. Pastor Oduro being an ignoramus, do not know that GFA do not spend government money,” he said in an interview quoted by Gary Al Smith.
“Thunder”, as affectionately called in the football circles schooled the Man of God on how monies are spent on the national team.
“Every approval or disbursement is done by the Ministry with a purse holder attached to every national team. This is common sense and basic.”
According to the outspoken football administrator, until Prophet Oduro shows an audited account of his church to the public he should prioritize salvation and give the GFA some breathing space.
“He should focus on salvation and show the audited account of his one-man church before talking about the GFA,” Takyi Arhin fires.
