ABN responds to attack on Ohemaa Woyeje

Management of Ghana’s leading media group, Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), has described as “unfortunate,” a recent attack on one of its leading presenters, Harey Adjoa Owusu Kusi (Mrs) aka DJ Ohemaa Woyeje, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

In a statement issued and signed by President and Founder, Dr Kwaku Oteng, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, the company condemned “in no uncertain terms, the unfortunate incident which happened within the precints of the company.”

The host of the ‘Yɛ dwuma nie’ midmorning Show on Angel 102.9 FM, Accra, was attacked and prevented from gaining access into the studio on Wednesday, by unidentified men, one of whom was captured in a viral video wearing mask.

They claimed to be have been ordered to do so by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Vincent Opare Larbi.

Mr Larbi has, however, denied knowledge of the incident, according to Angelonline.com.gh sources.

The statement by the group Founder assured audience of the station as well as the millions followers of its followers on social media that, their favourite presenter remains committed to the ABN brands.

“We, however, wish to state that the Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations into the incident and management is corporating with them to ensure the individual(s) involved are dealt with according to the laws of the country,” It said.
