Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium in London has been chosen to host the 2025 Unity Cup tournament, featuring Ghana, Jamaica, Nigeria, and Trinidad and Tobago from 27th–31st May 2025.
The Afro-Caribbean Invitational Tournament, “THE UNITY CUP,” returns after 21 years and will include two semi-final games and a championship match, with all three fixtures taking place at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium.
Nigeria, two-time winners of the Unity Cup, will play bitter rivals Ghana in the second semi-final on Wednesday, 28th May, while the first semi-final fixture will take place on Tuesday, 27th May, featuring the Caribbean derby where Trinidad and Tobago will face each other.
The final round of matches will be held on Saturday, 31st May, beginning with a third-place playoff followed by the final to decide the 2025 Unity Cup champion.
Brentford FC’s club ambassador and former Jamaica international, Marcus Gayle, stated they were excited for the return of the Unity Cup and proud to host the tournament at the Gtech Community Stadium.
“This tournament will not only bring together elite footballing talent from Africa and the Caribbean but also celebrate the deep cultural and sporting connections between these nations.
This is a great opportunity for the world to see the thriving talent of these players. We look forward to entertainment the Unity Cup brings and seeing the tournament make its mark once again,” he stated.
Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association, was thrilled to see the Unity Cup bringing people together at Brentford Stadium in London.

I know matches between Ghana and Nigeria are always intense, no matter what’s at stake, and we’re all excited about the opportunity to entertain our fans across the globe,” Mr. Okraku highlighted.
Black Stars skipper Jordan Pierre Ayew noted that the team was ready to grace the competition amid rekindling the Nigeria rivalry once more.
