Must Read

Black Stars goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, has committed his stay with Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oak until 2027.

Asare, who joined the Phobians in 2024, has signed a two-year contract, extending his stay with the Accra-based club.

The Phobians announced the contract extension of their number one stopper and expressed excitement to continue working with him.

“Asare comes with high goalkeeping expertise and good leadership qualities, which have made him a standout in the Ghana Premier League,” the club said in a statement.

After penning his signature to the contract extension, Asare expressed his delight for the opportunity offered him at the club and the confidence reposed in him by the club.

“I feel really excited to have been given the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in world football. Hearts of Oak has lifted my image and the only way to repay the confidence they have shown in me is to extend my contract, play my heart out for the team to contribute positively and work for success for this team. I will urge my teammates to remain focused and give their all to continue to work for success for the team.”

Benjamin Asare’s contract extension puts to rest rumours suggesting that some French and Moroccan clubs were interested in his services following his recent performances with the Black Stars.

Since joining the club, his positive impact on the team has contributed immensely to Hearts’ success story so far this season.

This earned him a place in Ghana’s Senior National Team, the Black Stars, where he is currently their first-choice goalkeeper.
