The Deputy Education Minister, Dr. Clement Abass Apaak, has says John Mahama’s government is poised to bolster STEM education as part of its commitment to enhancing the nation’s educational framework.
Dr. Apaak emphasised that STEM education is essential for fortifying Ghana’s educational system.
He urged all alumni to contribute to building a collective educational foundation for the country.
Speaking at the handover ceremony of a Science Laboratory donated by the 1984/1985 Elite Year Group of Accra Girls Senior High School (AGOSA) in Accra, stating that “His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s government is prioritising its STEM Education, and you’ve taken the lead (AGOSA).”
The Deputy Minister acknowledged that government efforts alone are insufficient. He called on other alumni to follow the exemplary model set by the 84/85 AGOSA Elite Women, encouraging them to invest in their alma maters.
The President of the 84/85 Elite Year Group of Accra Girls Senior High School, Madam Linda Amissah, also urged all former students to take their Old Students Associations seriously, noting that such commitments yield significant benefits for their alma maters.
