Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, is calling on relevant security agencies, including the National Investigation Bureau (NIB), to invite Felix Kwakye-Ofosu for interrogation.
According to the Oda MP, Kwakye-Ofosu, in his capacity as a government spokesperson disseminated false information while defending the government amid the ongoing cocaine and money laundering saga.
Mr. Acquah emphasized the security risks associated with spreading false information and expressed his belief that Mr. Kwakye-Ofosu must be given equal treatment as with Rev. Ntim Fodjour by the security agencies.
“If the NIB and other security agencies believe that Rev. Ntim Fodjour provided false information and therefore deserved to be invited, then Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, who is the government’s spokesperson, should also be invited,” he stated.
“…because in his attempt to salvage the government’s image, he shared an unidentified image online, claiming it was the suspicious aircraft.”
The former Deputy Health Minister made the call during an appearance on the Angel Morning Show on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
His remarks followed the NIB’s foiled attempt to arrest the Assin South MP at his Spintex residence on Wednesday, April 9, over his claims.
Mr. Acquah urged the NIB and other security agencies to consider Rev. Ntim Fodjour’s information as potential leads to support their investigation and bring the matter to a conclusive end.
