Switzerland is Ghana’s top export partner in trade relations – Ambassador Giger

Switzerland Ambassador to Ghana, Togo and Benin, Simone Giger, has said that with over 60 investors, Switzerland emerges as the top export partner in thriving trade relations with Ghana.

She pointed to the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and disclosed ongoing plans to further strengthen the ties.

Ambassador Simone Giger made the disclosure to Angel TV’s Saddick Adams on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Thursday, April 17, 20-25.

“We have so many other areas of cooperation which we can also delve into if you want. But right now we are very active in the field of trade relations, your number one export partner.

“We do have a lot of Swiss companies that are active in Ghana and other countries more than 60 with investors that do have set-up their shops in Ghana,” she noted.

Ms. Giger highlighted that this coorperataion has prompted other countries to learn from the two nations.

“We have a bilateral climate agreement between our two countries which is one of the things in the world in trade to be signed.

According to her, both countries “have a lot of development cooperation programs which will be continued into the futures of Ghana. And of course our political relations in our bilateral cooperation.”
