Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. also known as Shatta Wale, has retracted and apologized for a series of social media posts made on November 2, 2022, regarding Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, alias Bulldog.
The posts, which were widely circulated, contained allegations that implied Hanson was involved in the murder of Fennec Okyere (alias Fenicks) and also made claims about Hanson’s personal life.
However, Shatta Wale issued a retraction and apology on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, clarifying that these statements were misconstrued and not intended to imply Hanson’s guilt.
“I wish to retract each of the statements in the said series of publications, as I did not mean to say that Mr. Hanson had a hand in the murder of Fennec Okyere,” Shatta Wale stated.
Shatta Wale extended apologies to Hanson and all individuals affected by the posts, acknowledging the pain, agony, and ridicule caused.
