President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his admiration for Ghanaian creatives, particularly in the film industry, at the launch of the Black Stars Experience.
Mahama revealed that he enjoys watching Kumawood movies, specifically mentioning actor Lilwin’s comedic skills. He recounted watching a movie featuring Lilwin and Van Vicker, praising the talent showcased in Ghanaian films.
“I’m a fan of Ghanaian movies, and Lilwin’s comedic skills really stand out. I’ve enjoyed watching his films with Van Vicker — they’re entertaining and showcase our local talent. We just need to nurture and develop it further,” he uttered.
The president suggested replacing foreign films with Ghanaian movies on the presidential jet.
“I will let them change it to Ghanaian movies anytime the jet is available,” he added.
