The Member of Parliament (MP) for Abetifi in the Eastern Region, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, is the ideal candidate to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and redeem the party, former Asante Akim North MP, Andy Appiah-Kubi, has stated.

Appiah-Kubi described the former Agric Minister as a “symbol of victory” for the NPP and expressed strong confidence in his candidacy to unite the party’s front in the future.

In an interview with journalists that has gone viral on social media, the former MP noted that Dr. Acheampong embodies both intellectual and business qualities to lead the party.

“The desired task of the NPP is to present an ideal and a great candidate who can redeem our party, and that person is Dr. Bryan Acheampong who is preparing himself for that mission. In the coming days, he will make the pronouncement himself because I’m just a messenger. Hon. Dr. Acheampong is an intellectual person, and his works and handwriting is an attestation.

“It has become his wished that the NPP needs a unifying front and we have realised that he is that person who can stood and foster that togetherness in our quest to save Ghana,” he said.

He further remarked; “If we are looking for a candidate with intellectual capacity and a business mogul, he is champion and he is there. We have others claiming prowess of business and academician but with Bryan, he has both qualities. So we’re killing two birds with one stone with Bryan Acheampong.

“If we are talking about Ghana, it can only take an NPP government to develop it. So out of the internal raggling taking a center stage in the NPP, we believe we can do better. But doing better, the champion of that cause will be Dr. Bryan Acheampong,” he added speaking in the local dialect.
